My Approach

The health and wellness world is full of oppressive norms and assumptions about what bodies should look like and how they should move and function.

My practice strives to be anti-oppressive, affirming, and inclusive of all bodies and identities. I continually aim to create a space that is grief and trauma informed, anti-racist, and challenges fat-phobia, transphobia, homophobia, and ableism.

This means that:

You are the expert of your own body & life story

I will always respect your boundaries

I will not make assumptions about your body or life experiences

I will respect and use the language you use to talk about yourself, your identities, and body parts

I will never discuss diet culture, nutrition, or impose an exercise regime

I live and work in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). "Calgary" is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III. Appreciation and respect to the land that we live and work on is one small step towards ongoing reconciliation and decolonization.

"I just had my first (of many) sessions with Taelor today, and I can’t say enough lovely things! The experience was wonderful from the time they took to chat before my massage began to their responsiveness to my body during my massage. I felt comfortable, respected, and I left feeling more physically relaxed than I have in a long time. I’d highly recommend Taelor to anyone, and, like I said, I’ll definitely be back."
